Dads Program
Residential treatment and support for fathers in recovery with their children
An intact family includes a responsible, effective, caring father.
The Dads Program is a key element in a network of services aimed at re-creating
families destroyed by addiction.
As participants in the Dad’s Program,
custodial fathers and those seeking to regain parental rights receive
intensive addiction treatment services as well as fatherhood coaching,
domestic violence education and anger management training as needed.
The
Program also provides assistance in overcoming barriers typical to the
recovery process such as employment, transportation, child care and medical
issues.
Partner organizations, including Community Health Center and Jackson County Crisis Relief Nursery, provide additional services to Dad’s Program clients. Many recovering fathers are also involved with Jackson County Family Drug Court and other public agencies.
The
Dads Program is licensed to accommodate up to eight fathers, each with
one or two children. Private foundations provide funding that enables
the Program to accept indigent clients. The Program also bills private
insurance when participants have appropriate coverage.
